Why is it free?
The Start plan of our clinic management software is free for life. We set out openly why that is possible, what the free plan includes and what opens up in the higher plans.
What we do not mean by free
Not a trial version
The Start plan does not expire and there is no countdown. It is not a trial that locks after 14 days, but a plan you can use for life.
No credit card required
You do not enter card details when signing up. No charge can follow a forgotten cancellation, because there is no payment method on file.
Your data is not held hostage
The patient records you keep on the free plan are yours. If you never upgrade, your records are not deleted and your exports are not blocked.
If it is free, how is it sustainable?
When clinic management software is offered free of charge, it usually hides one of two things: either it is a short trial, or another business model runs on your data. Neither applies at Dr2connect. The Start plan is free as a plan that genuinely runs the daily work of your clinic, and it never expires.
The reason we can do this is simple: most clinics begin digitalising with appointments and patient tracking. When we offer that first step free, some of the users whose clinics grow — and who come to need e-Invoicing, accounting, laboratory or multi-physician management — move up to the higher plans. The paid plans cover the cost of everyone on the free plan.

Do I have to upgrade?
No. We have clinics that have worked on the Start plan for years, and the plan was not designed to be made paid one day. Upgrading makes sense when a new need arises in your clinic: filing Ministry of Health notifications from inside the software, issuing e-Invoices, keeping income and expense records, or adding a second physician to the system.
If you want to try the higher plans, you can open Prime free for 14 days from the Plans section of the specialist panel; if you do nothing when the period ends, you return to the Start plan exactly where you left off.
